Karen Jerzyk is an artist. Her story is harrowing and touching but her journey is an inspiration.
In 2011 when her father passed away, she "struggled tremendously to cope with what had happened." Despite immense emotional obstacles, Karen turned her anguish into something incredible. Her photography went from being pretty cool but lacking to an emotional roller coaster of eerie wonder. She takes abandoned locations and injects such intensity we can't look away, all while chills shiver down our spines because the dark images are just so creepy!
Take a look, you won't be able to turn away.
I dare you to look away. This is absolutely stunning and eerie.
Creepy just grazes the surface.
This morbid, yet romantic photo, is impossible to look away from.
This is what nightmares are made of.
Capturing the darkness within us....
We all have darkness in us somewhere.
What children are really afraid of...
The colors, the mood... it's all so intense.
They're coming to get you, Barbara...
This is what Death must look like.
The intense contrast is so exquisite.
We are utterly mesmerized by this image.
Terrifying yet peaceful.
Because nothing is creepier than two eerie women in an abandoned room.
I seriously cannot look away...
This should haunt your dreams tonight...
