The Top Dog Breeds That Are Most Likely To Run Away

The Top Dog Breeds That Are Most Likely To Run Away

There was a point in my childhood where we lived in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. It's an unusual place. It's very hot, and instead of grass, there's sand and rocks... everywhere. When I lived in the Midwest we had grassy backyards with chain-link fences that screamed suburbia but in Arizona, we had red sand and 9-foot walls of stone for a fence. Yet one of our three boxers found this 9-foot high obstacle to be nothing more than something to overcome. She jumped with all her might and basically scaled the fence like some sort of lizard-dog hybrid and then until we could catch her she got to enjoy a brief amount of time chasing wild rabbits and roadrunners. We found ways to deal with it eventually but it did make me curious: are some dogs prone to be runaways?

Turns out yes, some dogs are more likely to make a break for it than others!

Here's the list of the top 15 biggest culprits that will find a way to freedom. But don't worry, they're all really great dogs and totally worth the occasional headache!
