Gay Teen Asks To Attend His Friends Sleepover And Her Mom Has A Surprising Response

by Mikayla

Slumber parties are one of the best parts of any boy or girls birthday. You get some movies, snacks, games, and your friends and have a super fun night hanging out and talking until 3 am. And even though you want to invite everyone you know (the bigger the better, right?) parents usually have one very important rule; no sleepovers with the opposite sex. That's fair and understandable, but when would you make an exception?

Mason Brian Barclay, a gay teenager, didn't want to be left out of his new BFF's sleepover, but her parents were set on having a 'no boys' rule. Determined to join his friends, he sent texts her mom to plead his case, and the mother's response wasn't quite what anyone was expecting...

Hmm, maybe?!

Coming out as gay is definitely something that is difficult, but there are people out there who are assumed to be gay and have to 'come out' as straight. Seriously.
