Immigrant Refused A Job In The Rudest Way Possible So His Daughter Makes The HR Department Suffer For It

by Kailee

Applying for jobs can be one of the most difficult things that we put our minds to. The worry about whether we'll get the job, or if we're qualified enough, and whether our CV is up to scratch, is enough to send the best of us into anxiety overdrive. This was particularly so for Minh Huynh, a Vietnamese immigrant, with the relevant job experience and qualifications, who received a rather rude response back to a job application.

Whilst a certain level of English is a desired and most often necessary requirement for many employers, there was certainly no need for this kind of unprofessional response, especially directed towards a man who only wishes to provide for his family. Luckily for Minh, his daughter - Emily Huynh - had his back, and took to social media to air her concerns, causing a frenzy in the Twitter world.

Whilst she did not dispute the 'why', she did have concerns over the 'how' her father was rejected.

After taking to Twitter, one user reached out to help Minh and Emily, offering legal advice and pro bono.

Minh and Emily later received this email advising them of their company's values, and how their (former) employee obviously did not follow them.

In an overwhelming display of humility, Minh chose to forgive, and Emily shared her father's resolve to Twitter.
