Nine years ago, Kathy and Brandon Gunn from Michigan decided to tie the knot and commit to each other.

Everything in their lives was normal, up until this May when they realized that they never opened one of their wedding gifts.

It was a white box from Kathy’s great Aunt Alison that had a letter attached to it with a note saying "Do not open until your first disagreement.”

Waiting nine years to open a wedding gift is kind of crazy, but Kathy decided to explain everything to a Facebook page called "Love What Matters"

And she said:

Naturally, curiosity ended up winning this fight and one night they decided to investigate the contents of the box after cracking open a bottle of wine

The whole thing was triggered after they were brainstorming gift ideas for a wedding they were going to, they wanted to come up with something really meaningful. That's when the mysterious box popped in their head, and the idea of them never opening it even though it meant so much to them confused them so much.

The box contained some dollar bills, a vase and whine glasses, accompanied by some detailed instructions from aunt Allison herself

The note reads "Go get a pizza, shrimp or something you both like. <3 Aunt Allison Get a "bath" ready."

Brandon got different instructions as well

"Go get flowers and a bottle of wine"

Aunt Allison came up with such a cool concept that happens to be thoughtful at the same time, and the message behind it was more valuable than any of the contents of the box.
