This Woman's Terrifying Blind Date Story Shows Exactly Why We Need To Be Super Careful When Using Dating Apps

by Kailee

This isn't trying to stop you from using dating apps - although they may honestly be more harm than they are worth. Be it for fun, or a legitimate relationship, most of us have probably tried a dating app like Tinder at some point in our lives. We share things with complete strangers, believing them to have the best intentions with us.

But it takes a long time to really get to know somebody. While there is no denying that some people have found their soulmates through online dating, many girls have been assaulted, raped and even killed because of it.

This woman decided to share her friend's horrifying experience of a man that she found on a dating app, and how she came very close to probably being tortured and killed.

Twitter user by the name of @skygoulding shared her friend's horrific experience on Tinder.

It really is one of the craziest things I've heard.

She described the story of her friend, meeting a guy on Tinder for the first time after talking for months.

The man took her to a restaurant, where she started feeling ill during the meal.

The man drives her home, and when she starts feeling better, she invites him in.

Everything seems to be going well so far.

The man left, didn't he?

She calls the police, immediately concerned at who might be in her house.

When the police arrive, they tell her that the door is locked from the outside, adding to the confusion.

After kicking the door in, they find the culprit inside the house.

And it's the guy from her Tinder date.

This is where it gets real creepy.

She goes to the hospital and is tested for drugs in her system. The amount that she was given (by the date) should have rendered her basically incapacitated.

And this is how he managed to get in, locking the door back up.

This is why you should never trust a stranger.

It honestly gives us actual chills.

People on Twitter felt the same, and expressed their horror at the store.

This was such a close call to being the next huge news headline.

It shows why you need to be extremely careful if you use dating apps.
